Alliastar de Polis

Unremarkable man with wide connections, looking to eliminate corruption in the Empire

Description:
Bio:

The nobility is corrupt.
The Ecclesiarchy is decadent.
The upper classes feast on the carcass of humanity while the maggots of chaos gnaw from below, slowly infecting supposed rulers by divine right with their own corruption.
At one time, this system produced saints and great heroes – men who stood along the Astartes as shining examples of humanity, driven to push back the enveloping night all around us.
Those days are gone.
Humanity has cancers. Heretics and mutants are merely the most obvious. Our corrupt leaders and wicked clergy who would callously destroy life as though discarding a piece of tissue are the most insidious, and the most likely to be swayed unknowingly to the Ruinous Power’s side.
Like any cancer, in order to save the body, it must be removed. The chiurgeon does not give a second thought to the pulpy mass removed, does not question whether it deserves redemption, or could be salvaged. He removes it with the grim disgust of a healer.
So shall I be a chiurgeon of the empire.
Wherever there is a corrupt noble, taking bribes and eating on suckling pig while his people outside the walls beg for food and collapse with hunger, so should he watch over his shoulder for a dark shadow.
Whenever a priest breaks his vows and declares an innocent heretic for personal or political gain, so should he know that our organization sees and knows of his sin – and waits.
Wherever demagogues rally the people to overthrow a just government for their own lust of power, so should he know that the eagles and hawks watch from on high, and prepare to strike him down.
I’m hunted now, by the Ecclesiarchy I once served. Men who think the absolute power lies in the hands of creatures more corrupt than the ruinous powers themselves. Let them come. I fear no man, and they will learn what righteous fury is.
